Be kind, be curious, and most of all be a little weird.
Art by Pengalo — expressive faces in watercolor, ink, and acrylic.
Canvas, mostly — plus watercolor and ink.
Nothing matches that.

Made to order, in three sizes.
One face is a statement. Two that complement each other are a conversation — and a set. Hang any print below at true scale over the sofa, tap a second to see how they sit together, and go up to four if the wall wants more.

Pengalo is Christopher Penta, a Southern California artist, husband, and father. He creates expressive work of subjects often at the edges of the human experience. Working mostly in watercolor and ink, he focuses largely on faces, which he believes capture the raw emotion of life at its loudest.
Be kind, be curious, and most of all be a little weird.
Dedicated to my wife Mandie and each of my kids: you have taught me perspective, empathy, and a lot of patience — all of which has allowed me to chase these childish things.
And to my dad — the original artist in my life. This all started with you. Rest in peace.
Mandie · Archer · Damien · Chris · Asher · Tegan
Based in Southern California · Watercolor, ink, gouache, graphite & acrylic · Prints from $30
Pengalo art is created using a wide variety of reference materials. Every piece is handmade, using the artist's own unique interpretation.
